NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home

Introduction

This is an 8-hour course that covers defensive shooting. It covers many different aspects of defending yourself within your residence - not just the shooting, but the legal ramifications, the mindset you need to have and your assailant likely does have - every angle of the situation.
You are expected to be a serious shooter, and we reserve the right to ask for proof of experience in the form of an NRA Basic Pistol Course certificate, an NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program certificate, or a Conceal Carry Permit. We also reserve the right to perform a simple skills and safety test for the benefit of all involved.

$285.00 ($50.00 deposit required)

Equipment

  • Handgun with a capacity of at least 6 rounds, 9mm caliber or larger.
  • 800 Rounds of ammunition
  • At least 2 magazines for the handgun used, 3 if gun is a single-stack
  • Magazine pouch capable of holding 1 magazine, or 2 if gun is a single-stack.
  • Hip holster.
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Clothing suitable for weather conditions
  • Hat, sunglasses and sunblock

This is a 14-hour course that covers defensive shooting. Like the Personal Protection Inside the Home, it covers many different aspects of defending yourself outside of your residence on your property - not just the shooting, but the legal ramifications, the mindset you need to have and your assailant likely does have - every angle of the situation.
You are expected to be a serious shooter, and we reserve the right to ask for proof of experience in the form of an NRA Basic Pistol Course certificate, an NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program certificate, or a Conceal Carry Permit. You are expected to have completed thePersonal Protection Inside the Home course. We also reserve the right to perform a simple skills and safety test for the benefit of all involved.
